Air plants (Tillandsia ) are commonly found growing on rocks and trees in Central & South America. This "low maintenance" plant gets all its nutrients through its leaves, only requiring a spray of water 2-3times a week (less in winter}. You may wish to also spray the foliage once a month with a good soluble fertilizer at ¼ the recommended strength.

Bright indirect light and good air circulation is essential. All air plants bloom and produce new "pups" which in turn have flowers. With nurturing care, this plant will provide many years of beauty in your home.
